Auckland City Hospital
The Auckland City Hospital opened in 2003 as one of New Zealand’s largest public buildings. With nine levels and 80,000m², it unites the services of Greenlane Clinical and National Women’s Health, while also linking with the Starship Children’s Hospital.
With the high bed and trolley traffic throughout the hospital, the walls required protection from the regular knocks and scrapes they receive. Zone Architectural Products proposed the Tepromark Wall Protection System comprising of Corner Guards, Bed Bumpers and Hand Rails as a solution, which was accepted. Zone Direct was engaged to complete the installation.
Zone Direct continues to install the Tepromark Wall Protection throughout the hospital as needed. Tepromark has successfully protected the walls from damage, maintaining the modern décor of the building.
